I have a folder on e-mail server that stores messages from mail-list. Mail server is accessed by IMAP protocol. Filter is setup by following options: Match all the following -> Subject, contains, my_key_word, Perform these actions: Move mail to folder: my_folder_name on my_name of account AND Mark as read. Filter is appied when: Checking mail or Manually run. Since Thdb 3 b2 when I click on the folder that I referenced in this bug report as my_folder_name for a second I can see all the messages and then they all disappear and message can be seen in lower left corner saying: No matches found.
So as you see I can't read that folder from Thunderbird 3 beta 2.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on folder that contains messages stored there by filter
2. For a second headers of the messages are shown
3. Messages disappear and message in lower left corner saying: No matches found.
Actual Results:  
I can't read messages in that folder sicen none shows up, because it looks like Thudneribrd is applying some kind of filter. "No matches found." message. Thunderbird 3 beta 1 was fine with this.

Expected Results:  
When I click on folder I expect to be able to read messages.

did you notice error messages when you experience the issue ?

No, no error messages. Just "No matches found." in lower left corner.

I checked now this issue again in Thunderbird 3 beta 1 and in Thunderbird 2
and now there the same thing is happening ! Which was not case before. How can this propagated to Tdb 2 and Tdb 3 beta 1 ?!

I can now access folder ! Steps I took to regain control:

1. Disabled filter

2. Right click on my_folder_name -> Rebuild index

3. Enabled filter

All OK. It seems that Thunderbird 3 beta 2 did something to folder.
