There are two dropdown arrows; have you tried both?

I have and results ditto - no folders appear. Running ff3.1b2; suse 10.3. Problem also appears in previous versions, although in that case the first 3 or 4 folders appeared sometimes. Rufus

Aha. I have found that the folders don't appear in FF3.1 "Bookmark This.." dialog because the default display has the three high level tree entries completely collapsed. Click on the arrow bullet left of "Bookmarks Menu" and the tree will expand showing all the folders. Happy to find so simple a pilot error. Rufus

It isn't doing it any more. Closing Firefox and re-opening it fixed the problem and I haven't seen it since. However, when I did have the problem there was nothing at all to expand or collapse. It was completely blank. So your solution may work for you, but it would not have worked for me. -Susan
