Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009011913 Firefox/3.0.6
Build Identifier: Thunderbird 3.0b2 Beta

The default font-style (for example "Arial - small" ) changes automatically to "Variable width - medium" as soon as you click the bulleted list button or the numbered list button or as soon as you insert a table.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the HTML-Options section in the settings dialogue
2. Select a font (for example "Arial") and set Size = small
3. Open a new mail and begin to write text -> font will be "Arial small size" according to the previously defined default settings
4. Insert a bulleted list or a numbered list or a table -> font changes automatically to "Variable width - medium size" (the receiver will probably see this as "Times New Roman"
Actual Results:
font changes automatically to "Variable width - medium size" (the receiver will probably see this as "Times New Roman"

Expected Results:
The whole text of the mail should have the previously defined default font-style.

Crhistof is this a regression - did it behave like that in earlier versions of TB ?
Hi Ludovic. No it's not a regression. TB 2 behaved accordingly. I reported this bug for TB 2 a long time ago but it has never been fixed. So I hoped that it would be fixed in TB 3.
