This VM is _extremely_ slow, and I'm not sure why. It doesn't look like it's doing much, here's a clip from top: top - 21:51:59 up 21:01, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.11, 0.08 Tasks: 48 total, 2 running, 46 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie Cpu(s): 0.0%us, 0.3%sy, 0.0%ni, 99.3%id, 0.3%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st Mem: 776680k total, 299276k used, 477404k free, 94340k buffers Lots of RAM free, no CPU usage, low load average. It's on bm-vmware06 currently, and eql01-bm06 for storage - which is one of the fast storage hosts I believe. This storage array currently has 11 VMs on it - which seems about normal. I don't want to give this VM reservations or anything like that, but it would be nice to know why it's so slow, and fix that. Do you guys have any idea?

This VM was build from an appliance image. It does not have VMware tools installed.
I'll install that and see if it helps.

Got vmware tools installed, I'll re-open if this remains an issue.
