User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; de; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009011913 Firefox/3.0.6 Build Identifier: Outlook (2003-?) displays an error message if you try to open an ics-Event-Invitation-File which contains special chars (ö,ä,...) in the common name (CN=) field. It would be a nice feature if Lightning replaces special chars in this field (ö->oe,ä->ae,...) -->calItipEmailTransport.js -> _createTempImipFile Reproducible: Always

This rather sounds like an encoding problem (though I can't see it in the code). What version of lightning do you use? > It would be a nice feature if Lightning replaces special chars in this field > (ö->oe,ä->ae,...) -->calItipEmailTransport.js -> _createTempImipFile I don't think we should falsify outgoing iMIP this way.
I tested it with the linux and windows Lighnting version 0.9.
You are right, it seems to be an encoding problem: I only found something by searching for the german error message: http://www.office-loesung.de/ftopic102884_0_0_asc.php

Could you please recheck whether this problem occurs on a current nightly build (1.0pre)? Thanks.
