Stefan needs a hg account for committing calendar work.

I am vouching for him.
Does he have any type of VCS account currently?

Will need his SSH public key attached to this bug, a signed Committer's Agreement (http://www.mozilla.org/hacking/committer/committers-agreement.pdf) sent to Erica using one of the methods described on http://www.mozilla.org/hacking/notification/, and another voucher (unless calendar requires SR now, which it may because of its being in comm-central; will check on this)...

I am happy to vouch for Stefan, too.

afaik, he doesn't have any type of VCS account.

Correct, I managed to live without cvs and hg account until now.

Adding dmose in case SR voucher is required for comm-central.

Reed, asking around with kairo, davida, and others; I don't recall any consensus requiring calendar to have sr vouchers. And calendar still only requires r+ on review side, so I'd say ok with the admittance without an sr+.
Ok, just waiting on the form then.
for record, dmose just gave sr over Irc anyway... so he has the ability to commit to all of c-c (and potentially m-c, not sure if dmose is an sr for there).

If he wants it to count, he'll need to say it here.
committer's agreement document has been send by fax.
sr=dmose. Reed, perhaps you have some specific reason that I'm not aware of, but this level of pedantry seems unnecessarily aggravating. There's a very thoughtful essay at <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:What_%22Ignore_all_rules%22_means> that you may wish to read and think about.

I don't think it's really pedantry to want an audit trail, though his reputation might suggest otherwise. I don't think we should accept "person X said he'd vouch on IRC" as an acceptable process. The less we rely on individual judgement and more on objective criteria, the easier it becomes to manage and scale this process...
I have received a Committer's Agreement from Stefan.
Ok, over to IT for LDAP / Hg account set up with both hg_mozilla and hg_mozsrc bits.

mconnor: indeed, my reaction was based on a pattern of interactions over time as well as on the fact that we've generally allowed "review over IRC" for normal bugs for many years. That said, I will concede that it feels more important to have an audit trail for source tree access bugs than for regular checkins. If that's what Reed had in mind, I apologize for impugning his judgment.

That is indeed what I had in mind. I'm sorry for not articulating my sentiments better.
Thanks! I also realized after writing my comment that it sounded pretty bizarre for me to apologize in the third person, I really should have apologized to you directly. Sorry for any and all confusion!
