when visiting certain flash based websites (xbox.com, playlist.com) It asks to install flash player. flash player is successfully installed and is functioning on most other websites (hulu.com, g4tv.com) and after reinstalling and updating both flash player and firefox, the problem still exists. Problem is only with firefox, google chrome and internet explorer both work these sites fine.
Reproducible: Always
Expected Results:
website should have appeared as normal, but appear as if the flash player was not installed
here is a screen shot that I took of the applications under options and xbox.com, in which it requests flash player:

I had the same problem with Firefox 3.5 and adding a new profile fixed it. Why did that work? Is there anything I can do to get my old profile to work?

although Justin had the problem post FF 3.5, the opposite was true with me: the problem was solved when 3.5 was installed. I never tried to change my profile on firefox but it looks like it would have worked based on above suggestions. If anybody has any explanation to this problem I would still love to hear it.
Thanks for suggestions
