The folder has everyone:r set in the ACL. Files downloaded with Firefox do not inherit this permission. Other files created in the folder do. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set the download folder to have everyone:r access. 2. Download a file 3. Try to copy/execute it over the network - it fails. 4. Manually do a cacls file /e /p everyone:r 5: The file is now accessible

This was fixed in version 3.1 by Bug 224692. If a 3.1 build does not do what you expect then reopen the bug.

3.1 does appear to have fixed it. Thanks. How long before 3.1 is released?
