We are going to publish a new snippet on the start page during a few days so as to incitate advanced users to try the upcoming Firefox 3.1 beta 3 release

Please put the translation of the following string in this bug comment indicating what your locale is.

Are you an advanced Firefox user? Get a sneak preview of the next Firefox: <a href="">download Firefox 3.1 beta 3!</a>

The targetted locales are: 
de, fr, es-ES, pt-BR, ru, pl, it, ja, tr, nl 

If you are interested in promoting Fx3.1 beta 1 but are not part of the locales above, you are welcome to provide a translation although I cannot guarantee that we will use it.

I think that we should get more people involved in QA-ing and not just specific locales. This is what Microsoft done recently with ie8, by the way.

We cannot see the Japanese snippet on the start page though your patch has landed.

Actually we don't promote betas to Japanese users, it's OK (In reply to comment #19)

Actually we don't promote betas to Japanese users at all, we don't care if the snippet is live or not.
The Japanese snippet was indeed not used because the page is linked to is not localized on mozilla.jp.

Understood. We'll provide the localized content and start promotion when RC1 is out.
