Do you get this in the safemode ? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode This works for me..
Wouldnt have thought safe-mode would have been needed, was just posting to say it would be a nice fix to be able to use firefox when the internet connection is down, will try it tonight.
