User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20081204 SeaMonkey/1.1.14
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20081204 SeaMonkey/1.1.14

Opening a saved .eml file which contains an ISO-8859-2 encoded email results that the characters are somehow converted to UTF-8 and then displayed as two-byte characters which are not readable.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached test.eml in Seamonkey.

Actual Results:
The email is opened as shown in the attached test_eml_wrongly_displayed.png .

Expected Results:
The email should be displayed as shown like test_eml_displayed_ok.png .

The workaround to display the characters readable is to choose View/Character Encoding/Unicode (UTF-8).

This problem is reproducible with:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20090223 SeaMonkey/2.0a3
The test email is displayed correctly with version:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; hu-HU; rv:1.8.1.16) Gecko/20080702 SeaMonkey/1.1.11
Also displayed correctly with:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; hu-HU; rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20081204 SeaMonkey/1.1.14
The problem is reproducible with:

Strange... This "test email" attachment opens in the browser, displayed wrong, I must use the workaround described in comment #0 to see it correctly; but if I hit Ctrl-U instead, the View Source window (which according to its View menu and submenus is in ISO-8859-2) shows the content correctly.

The headers of that .eml attachment include "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-2; format=flowed".

Setting Platform to All. I wonder if this bug belongs in SeaMonkey or in Core, and in which Component.
