Created a document with what I have so far so people can see what we're doing and add their own information.
It clearly needs to be prettied up and I'm thinking we might want to use a project instead, the mission statement can be an explanation of who is listed, and each person can be a document.

Not sure if this is the place to comment, but I checked out my bio (finally) and it looks fine to me. Thanks Lucy for doing that.

I disagree. I think moving forward our projects/content distinction needs to be clearer, and listing bios isn't really a project. Unless you want to create/run an actual project whose mission is to create bios for all SFx members :) That could be really cool actually.
Otherwise, if you just need a way to group related pages together, we can figure out how to do that, but I don't think we should abuse Projects for accomplishing this, unless it's an actual community marketing project.
What else needs to be done before we can resolve this bug?

Yeah, it's not that I specifically want to use the project content type, it's that I like the functionality the project type would give us. I'll list and we can make recommendations for later.
- adding documents to the project automatically gives the ability to use snippets, so in theory on the main page users can see names and the point forms, then click to read the personal messages - making the page much shorter
- adding each bio as its own doc makes them much easier to manage, edit, remove etc.
No, the idea isn't to let everyone have a bio, that'd obviously be redundant to the user pages. It's to help people get to know the team, site admins etc and give special credit to key contributors.
So yeah, being able to attach docs to another doc would do basically the same thing.
As for resolving the bug, the page is created though it'd be nice to have an open bug until the first set of bios are actually complete.

Good point

What needs to happen to complete the bios for 3.0? Can we remove the blank sections (e.g. Role:, Personal message)?
It has no styling, but maybe we can revisit this page for styling? It's not a major page, as (afaik) it's linked only by the FAQ page.
thanks

So the only fields that we shouldn't be able to complete ourselves is the personal message. We should know what each other's roles are so we should be able to fill that in.
I'll use the basic document options to make it pretty for 3.0 but we should definitely revisit as I think we want this page to be more dynamic than just a document.
If we make the usernames link to the user page people can put their personal message in their bio and we can drop those from the page.
I also agree, it's not a major page, just want to have something that doesn't look unfinished up for the redesign, we can make it better later.

Laura, we need a short Moz history for you to wrap this page up. Could you write something?

Sorry!
Info section: started using Firefox in 2004 and has never looked back. Officially got involved with Mozilla in 2008, working on various marketing projects. Took on the role of Affiliates management in 2009.

Ok - did the review and cleaned it up. I just need a role for Jeremy and then I will close it out.
Verified FIXED; this is in, looks good, and we can edit in real-time through the Edit tab, as needed.
