Do you have a copy of such a message? I see lots of bugs that could be your issue, but your description is lacking. Bug 144276 and bug 369302 look promising.
If the original message has the images included in the message body itself, and the message uses a quoted-printable content transfer encoding, this is bug 307023. Please save such a message with File > Save As > File in .eml format and attach it to this report (see the link above your opening description). You can use a text editor like notepad to remove or 'x'-over any personal information you don't want to post publicly, but please make sure that the structure of that message remains intact.
No response from reporter, thus resolving incomplete. Please feel free to reopen if the problem persists, but attach an example message as requested. -> INCO

I sent to a friend of mine an email with a photo inserted in the email body. And my "sent message" showed such a photo. However, a friend of mine told me that my email he received was without such a photo. Both of us use Thunderbird for email. How can I tell him to correct/check the setting of his email?
