Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009012700 SUSE/3.0.6-0.1 Firefox/3.0.6
I noticed on two machines that recently upgraded FireFox that the "Find" or Ctrl+F or "/" does not bring up "Find" field.
This happens regardless of which page is displayed or what may be in focus within the browser.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Browser.
2. Hit Edit>Find from the pull-down or hit Ctrl+F or hit "/" does not bring up "Find" field.
3. Closing all instances of the browser does not fix.
Actual Results:
See #2
Expected Results:
Would expect to see a search or find field. Does not happen.
Also, Help>About Mozilla Firefox from the pulldown is broken (nothing happens)
Also, the Help>Report Broken Website item from the pulldown generates a pop-up with the message "XML Parsing Error: undefined entity

Please only one issue per report. This allows for approving and closing of issues without confusion.
1. Find works for me, Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009021906 Firefox/3.0.7
Are you sure that a flash ad, video plugin or pdf plugin did not have focus. If so then that is a known issue.
2. Help -> about works for me
3. help -> report broken website works for me.
Please try the basic troubleshooting document to see if this resolves some of your issues. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+troubleshooting
Suse may preform customizations to Firefox that change some behaviors. This is in regards to issue 3, the reporter tool being broken.
