Do you have focus in the addressbar? Does this happen in Safe Mode or a new profile?
Component: Keyboard Navigation → Location Bar and Autocomplete
QA Contact: keyboard.navigation → location.bar
Version: unspecified → 3.1 Branch
I do have the focus in the address bar, and I just tried it in Safe Mode, and it still does not do anything. I have not made a new profile and tried it.
do you have AVG? in such a case upgrade AVG to the latest release and this is a dupe of bug 475653
Running the latest AVG, on Windows 7, possibly an issue?
Im running avg 8 and still get the same problem
AVG is now at 8.5 something, which resolves some firefox issues. try using that. If this goes away using 8.5 or later, this is a dupe of bug 475653
no further answers, resolving incomplete, most likely dupe.

I just reproduced an issue much like this in a fresh, new profile. Happening to me frequently when trying to visit "mail.google.com" (gmail)
