User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009021910 Firefox/3.0.7 (.NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.30618; .NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Version 2.0.0.21 Partial update from 2.0.0.19 to 2.0.0.21 apparently corrupted mozMapi32.dll, so that it could not be overwritten or deleted: 1. Partial update failed with message "Error opening file fro writing: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\moxMapi32.dll". 2. Two attempts to uninstall T'bird also failed without an error message. 3. Two attempts to do full installation also failed, with the same message as above. 4. Attempt to restore T'bird 2.0.0.19 from backup also failed. 5. I renamed "Mozilla Thunderbird" and did full installation 2.0.0.21. That worked. Reproducible: Didn't try
This is most frequently seen when a LogiTech camera is installed and its background process hasn't been stopped when updating.

rsx11m, you nailed it perfectly. Logitech Quickcam was running when I tried the install. I repaired file structure with chkdsk /F, and then was able to delete the corrupted file. Thx!
