User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009021910 Firefox/3.0.7 Build Identifier: 2.0.0.21 (20090302) With a dual-monitor setup you can place the compose window in the 2nd monitor part of your desktop. After undocking and disconnecting the 2nd monitor, thunderbird remembers the window placement of the compose window, and puts the window where it can't be seen. There is no way to move it back over, only maximize it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Connect 2nd Monitor in Windows, extend desktop to 2nd monitor 2. Create new email. Drag compose window to 2nd monitor, send email 3. Close Thunderbird 4. Disconnect 2nd monitor (imagine a docked vs non-docked laptop) 5. Open Thunderbird 6. Compose Message. Message compose window will be placed outside the viewable area where there USED to be a 2nd monitor. Only way to recover is to use "maximize" on the compose window from the windows task bar. Actual Results: Compose window is not viewable Expected Results: Compose window should relocate to active desktop area
Update : I don't do steps #3 or #5, I simply suspended the laptop after removing the 2nd monitor. So this is on same running instance of Thunderbird. Thunderbird *does* bring the compose window back if I close it and open it after removing the 2nd monitor. Possible resolution : have compose windows check to see if desktop area still exists before placing the window?

max, do you still see this when using version 60?
