User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; cs; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009021910 Firefox/3.0.7 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Lightning 0.9 + Provider for Google Calendar 0.5.1 + Thunderbird 2.0.0.21 I have several Google Calendars set up in Lightning and every time the synchronization process with Google is running the whole TB UI is frozen for a while. I guess it might be caused by running the synchronization in the same thread as the one that handles the UI. If it really is caused by this, would it please be possible to run the synchronization in a separate thread? Nevertheless, it shouldn't be caused by a slow internet connection, since my download speed is commonly around 85 Mbit with approx. 4 ms ping. I am sorry if this is an issue of GCal Provider instead of Lightning, but I have no clue which extension of these two causes the problem. Thank you for considering this. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set up several Google calendars with a reasonable amount of events in them. 2. Wait for the automatic synchronization process to begin. Actual Results: Thunderbird UI is frozen for a couple of seconds until the synchronization process is finished. Expected Results: Thunderbird UI should not be frozen during the synchronization process.
