User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.9.0.8) Gecko/2009032609 Firefox/3.0.8 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.9.0.8) Gecko/2009032609 Firefox/3.0.8 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) This bug occurs only after Firefox has run for a long time, such as 24 hours. Bug goes away once the browser is restarted. This is the second time that I noticed the bug. DESCRIPTION: My site uses charset auto-detection and language auto-detection. The Chinese characters in the title bar (of the window) suddenly appear as ??????????. I have double-checked that there is no bug with the code of my site. I cannot reproduce the same problem with MSIE. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. run Firefox for at least a day or longer 2. have multiple tabs open 3. you may try viewing my site https://www.dezzignz.com/zh-tw/ Actual Results: characters in titlebar appear as ???????????? Expected Results: DEZZIGNZ 香港著名平面設計和網站建設公司
The titlebar is managed by windows itself AFAIK
Does the problem start when you open a PDF? See bug 512032.
I have never tried it with PDF. I have duplicated the same problem with Windows 7 (64-bit). It really seems that it is Windows problem and not problem of Firefox. However, Google Chrome may not have the problem, I suspect. Yes, I wish that Firefox was as good as Chrome!

OK. I have recently (less than 2 weeks ago) seen the bug again on my Windows 7 (64-bit) Firefox machine. FF might have been 3.6.12, although I am not 100% positive. I will try to recreate the condition again and post the results here.
