i have specified under Privacy->Junk that messages marked as junk should be moved to the "Junk" folder.  this is not happening.  messages loaded into my Inbox and automatically or manually marked as Junk remain in the Inbox.

For the account(s) in question, what do you have set for junk settings under Tools->Account Settings->[account]->Junk Settings?

This does open the question of why similar settings appear in 2 completely different places....

Tools->Account Settings->[account]->Junk Settings was not set, and likely the problem.  (no new junk mail at this time, so hard to verify yet.)  but only one of these settings should exist, or they should be sync'd.

I filed a bug yesterday about the Junk settings being in 2 places. See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487132

I'm going to go ahead and close this bug. If the problem persists, please let me know and I will re-open.
