I have installed PSM. Note that I have been able to successfully login in with a secure connection to my bank account at http://www.bankofamerica.com. However, the above to sites have problems with secure login. Sometimes, when going to yahoo main page, then selecting yahoo mail, and then selecting secure login from the unsecure page, mozilla will lock up when trying to log in. Other times, I have been able to establish a secure login to yahoo mail, but the the lock icon, is displayed as locked, but it has a red line through it. As for etradebank login, after submitting a secure login, the response is: "You are trying to logon with a page from your browser's cache. This can happen if you used the Back key to access the login page or if your browser cache setting is set to never check for a new page. Please click on Logout and clear your browser's cache then try to login again."
Worksforme. I can login to secure yahoo mail and my etrade account on Linux without a problem.

Try a newer nightly build. I think something has been changed since M17 and I have had some improvements for secure logins.
Update your Personal Security Manager files to the latest version (PSM 1.2)at http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/psm/psm-mozilla/ You should have no problem logging into secure sites then.

I've just tried to login in to my etrade account with the latest version: November 29, 2000. It works as long as I am root. However, does not work if logged in as regular user.

Marking worksforme. PSM works and I can login to E*Trade, which is the original bug. In the last comment, the reporter is referring to Bug 49507 - "psm does not work , when run as a different user in unix"
