Details

The default shortcut key for the new Archive feature is the "A" key by itself. Other users have noted in bug 476590 that bare "A" by itself is dangerous. For Penelope, the conflict of bare "A" with the type-to-select feature <https://wiki.mozilla.org/Type-To-Select> is problematic. Even the Shift+A suggestion in bug 476590 conflicts with type-to-select. A new Archive shortcut must be found specifically for Penelope.
For those with initiative, this bug is fixed in the Penelope hg source code depot: <http://hg.mozilla.org/penelope/rev/126e4c2b1076>. Otherwise you'll have to wait until the next release, Eudora 8 beta 6/Penelope 0.5a3, which will be out very soon.
