The link in your comment is a special redirect for the google toolbar. We have several similar redirects for other add-ons. If you're asking how to get a URL like that there is no documentation, it's generally used to promote a campaign or something. If that's not what you're asking then I don't know but I'm pretty sure this isn't a bug. ->invalid
