User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1b4pre) Gecko/20090408 Shiretoko/3.5b4pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1b4pre) Gecko/20090408 Shiretoko/3.5b4pre http://www.cruffler.com/trivia-April01-background.html causes Firefox 3.5b4pre to quit responding. Firefox 3.0.8 and Chrome 2.0.171.0 load the page with zero issues. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 2. Visit http://www.cruffler.com/trivia-April01-background.html Actual Results: Firefox quits responding and has to be forced closed Expected Results: Firefox 3.5b4pre should load the page with no problems like Firefox 3.0.8 does. It could be the Java at the top of the page, but I have the latest Java 1.6.0_13 installed (and doesn't explain why 3.0.8 and Chrome 2.0.171.0 loads just fine). Firefox doesn't crash, so there is nothing in the crash reporter and no useful information in the Vista Event Viewer.
This site loads fine for me using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1b4pre) Gecko/20090408 Shiretoko/3.5b4pre, using Java Plug-in 1.6.0_13. Make sure to try this in safe mode and see if the same issue happens.
Still happens to me in safe mode with the latest nightly build. I am using 32bit Vista, but this also happens to another person on 64bit Vista posted by golfe in this thread - http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1185975.
wfm with Seamonkey 1.9.1 branch and JRE 1.6 U13
I moved my entire profile from Vista to XP SP3 and this problem is no longer happening to me. The page loads instantly with no hanging. I will not be going back to Vista so I can no longer continue testing this.
marking wfm in this case, there is not enough info to do something here. Thanks for the feedback Brian !
