I have set firefox to ask me clear my private data every time i close it, which works perfectly fine. The problem is that it seems to also delete persona skin data (if not all add-ons), and when i reopen firefox it takes a sec or two load the skin again, which probably mean it downloads it again from the net.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Firefox
2. Options -> Privacy -> Always clear my private data when i close Firefox
2. Install Persona Skin add-on
3. Restart Firefox
4. Choose a skin from Persona Skin menu
5. Close Firefox (Clear private data if ask option was chosen from menu)
6. Open Firefox
Actual Results:  
Firefox skin is gray, and after a second or two the skin is back to as it was.

Expected Results:  
Skin should of stayed from before

I'm not expert but I think this is persona problem.  I have create a few extensions and on first start it takes a second for the button icons to show and I was once told that I needed to do something to fix it but I can't remember what it was.  BTW, this behavior changed with Firefox 3.0 and again I can't remember what changed.

When you clear private data on shutdown, it clears the Firefox disk cache, where Personas stores the persona images, so Personas has to redownload the images from the server when you start Firefox back up.  The time it takes to redownload those images is the delay you see before the images get applied.

To fix this, Personas would have to cache the persona images separately (i.e. using its own cache rather than the Firefox cache), which it might end up doing anyway to fix bug 487341.  So making this bug dependent on that one.

This is now handled via Firefox. If it is still an issue please open a bug under Firefox -> Theme.
