The 'File name' field of the 'Save As' dialog operates as a combination text field and combo box.  A blinking cursor (caret?) should be displayed so that the location of text insertion/deletion is immediately visible.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open web page.
2. Select 'File > Save Page As...'
3. Click in middle of 'File name' field so that default text is de-selected.
Actual Results:  
Cursor not displayed.

Expected Results:  
Cursor displayed.

Hmmm.  I can make the problem go away by moving focus to any other component within the dialog and then re-focusing on the text field.  Using the mnemonic to focus also does the trick.  Upon bringing up the 'Save' window, did you immediately click the selected text in the 'File name' field?  I'll try this out on a separate machine when I get a chance and post the results.

I can consistently reproduce the problem on my laptop but not on any other computer.  Guess this issue can be closed.

This is a mass search for bugs which are in the Firefox General component, are
UNCO, have not been changed for 500 days and have an unspecified version. 

Reporter, can you please update to Firefox 3.6.10 or later, create a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles, and test again. If you still see the issue, please update this bug. If the issue is gone, please set the status to RESOLVED > WORKSFORME.

No reply from reporter, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
