If you'll set set fontsize 8 you will notice that in firefox cursor is displayed in wrong position more you move cursor to the left more will be a misplacement

it works fine in safari

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. set fontsize 8 in commandline 
2. try to move cursor to the left at least with 30 characters

Actual Results:  
cursor is misplaced 

Expected Results:  
that cursor will be in the right position

I works correctly in safari

Yup, this is true, so confirming. Quite odd that it does that, especially only in Firefox. Maybe it's a rounding error?

The Skywriter project has merged with Ajax.org's Ace project (the full server part of which is their Cloud9 IDE project). Background on the change is here:
