User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1b4pre) Gecko/20090411 Shiretoko/3.5b4pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1b4pre) Gecko/20090411 Shiretoko/3.5b4pre While loading http://www.javascript.su/ I noticed that Firefox 3.5b4pre was using almost 100% of the CPU to load the page. When I press Ctrl-F5 to refresh the page, CPU usage spikes to almost 100% as well. After the page is loaded 100%, if you scroll the page up or down, Firefox uses close to 100% of the CPU. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 2. Visit http://www.javascript.su/ 3. Watch firefox.exe in task manager use almost 100% of the CPU while page is loading or while scrolling the page up or down. Actual Results: Firefox uses almost 100% of the CPU to load the page. CPU usage is almost 100% while refreshing the page with Ctrl-F5 as well. CPU usage is almost 100% while scrolling the page up or down. Expected Results: Firefox shouldn't hog the CPU while the page is loading or while scrolling the page up or down.
Appears that this is fixed in the latest nightly build of Shiretoko.
