When I do the described steps; I end up with links to the images. Mark is this a wanted change that we introduced in TB3 ?
Confirmed on linux (sends the site instead). I don't think it's an intended change.

This has been replaced by the behavior described in bug 557708 comment #2, at least on Windows. When dragging an image from a web page into the attachment area, current builds show a fake ".bmp" attachment, but then it fails to send.
