Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.8) Gecko/2009032609 Firefox/3.0.8 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.8) Gecko/2009032609 Firefox/3.0.8 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

'Sort by name' only works within the following 'Bookmarks' context menu:
- Bookmark This Page
- Subscribe to This Page
- Bookmark All Tabs
- Organize Bookmarks
Any object below the above context menu for 'Sort by name' does not work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make sure the bookmarks are note sorted within 'Bookmarks' context menu
2. Right click outside the above four sub-context menus and choose 'Sort by name'
Actual Results:
Bookmarks were not sorted.

Expected Results:
Bookmarks should be sorted.

I remember seeing this works prior to Mozilla Firefox 3.0.8 (sorry, can't remember the details as I keep using this feature to keep my bookmarks tidy. Besides, my brain and eye coordination prevent me to look through unsorted information in a quick manner).

Alternative 1:
If the 'Sort by name' should not work, either greying it out or remove the pop=up context menu should do the job.
However, this will make different expected behavior for users that use this feature and worked prior to FF 3.0.8

Alternative 2:
I'm not a coder (yet), but if anyone can pinpoint inside the code. There could be a piece where the pop-up context menu is wrongly processed after clicking 'sort by name' (just a guess, no heart feeling to coders as they have done great job making FF up to today)
