User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; fr; rv:1.8.1.21) Gecko/20090327 Camino/1.6.7 (MultiLang) (like Firefox/2.0.0.21pre)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; fr; rv:1.8.1.21) Gecko/20090327 Camino/1.6.7 (MultiLang) (like Firefox/2.0.0.21pre)
When GlimmerBlocker (http://glimmerblocker.org/) is enabled, Camino doesnt' add .com at the end of the URLs anymore.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install GlimmerBlocker
2.Launch Camino
3.Type "google" in Location field
Actual Results:
"The host does not exist.
Check the URL or try googling for it."
Expected Results:
Redirecting to http://google.com
I sent a mail to Peter Speck, the developer of GlimmerBlocker. Here is his answer :
"
That's a bug in Camino - you'll have to report it to the Camino developers."

From the GlimmerBlocker site:
"GlimmerBlocker is implemented as an http proxy"
That means that Gecko is never getting the "domain not found" message, so it can't trigger autocomplete in the location bar.
The same "problem" is present in Firefox and any other Gecko browser, and is not specific to GlimmerBlocker (it also happens with Privoxy and with DNS servers such as Earthlink's or OpenDNS's that refuse to send a "domain not found" message, instead replacing it with ad-based search results).
This is most certainly NOT a bug in Camino, but I'm not sure that there's any way for either proxy developers or browser developers to avoid this.
