I have recently upgraded to sys X.4.11. I have downloaded the current Camino and this other wise fine program now crashes each time I try to print a receipt from the bank's website. This did not happen with the previous Camino on sys X.3.9. The printer is HP Officejet 6130.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to bank and make a payment (secure site, passworded etc)
2.Print receipt from Print option in File Menu (will not print direct from Print Button presumably designed for Windoze)
3.Crash
Actual Results:
Camino Crashes

Expected Results:
Printer prints receipt, go back to bank account data

I have the crash reports and hopefully can attach them

It looks like your actual printer software is damaged or buggy. Are you able to print to it from other applications?
Well, I considered that, so I tried printing a different webpage and it crashed too. In order to check if it was the printer driver, I tried printing to my HP Laserjet 2550, but it crashed as well.

You might be right though, as I tried printing from Text Edit and it crashed. :(

I will try printing with Camino closed and see if this makes a difference. Otherwise I may have to reinstall the system. Ugh.
Camino being open or closed won't have any effect on TextEdit's printing, so if TextEdit crashed the problem must with the installation of your HP print bundles (or a deeper OS problem).

I have now downloaded and installed the latest software from HP and it appears to have solved the problem. Apparently this is not downloaded by Software Update. I have also repaired the permissions, which need quite a bit of attention! Many thanks for your assistance.
Resolution: INVALID → FIXED
Since the bug was never in Camino, this is still INVALID.

As a note for future reference, Software Update does not generally update any third-party software, so it's not a particularly big surprise that it didn't find the update.

Yes, you are right. I think this can be described as a "Senior Moment"... Thanks again. I have marked it Resolved. Hope that's okay.
