User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.9) Gecko/2009040821 Firefox/3.0.9 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.9) Gecko/2009040821 Firefox/3.0.9 When viewing a movie in quicktime on a webpage in firefox on 64 bit Vista the controls for the movie in quicktime will not display. Only a black bar displays. The controls are usable but the user is blind to their locations. The only fix is to run Firefox in Xp compatibility, no other combination of compatibility modes or quicktime options makes any difference. Apple states the issue is within firefox. Apple.com/trailers is a good place to recreate and many people report having the issue. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open a trailer at apple.com in firefox on a 64 bit vista machine 2. 3. Actual Results: exactly what id escribed. the movie plays but the control bar is black and no controls appear Expected Results: The browser should have allowed quicktime to display the bar without having to run in XP compatibility mode
do you still see this problem with newest version of firefox and quicktime? (last bug comment was prior to 2010-08-29)
