Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.9) Gecko/2009040821 Firefox/3.0.9 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.9) Gecko/2009040821 Firefox/3.0.9 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) very minor bug/maybe needs to be handled by source: on slashdot's live feed/rss, noticed that one of headlines had an html tag: <em> </em> today 4/22 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.bookmarks toolbar - add slashdot rss 2. 3. If firefox is supposed to remove html tags, then looks like perhaps this tag <em> is not one of the ones listed. It may be that for rss feeds, it's slashdot's responsibility to remove them.
To be honest, I'm not sure that this would be a Firefox bug. I believe that this is something that needs to be stripped out by Slashdot's script that serves up the RSS feed, which might be an oversight on their part as I don't normally see them sprucing up the titles of their posts like this on a regular basis.
