User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.0.9) Gecko/2009042114 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Firefox/3.0.9 Build Identifier: Lightning 0.9 (build 2009040816) I have a recurring event, and want to add information to single occurences of it. In addition, I want to send out invitations for single occurences of this event, not for the recurring event itself. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. create a recurring event (weekly in my case) and save it 2. edit a single occurence of this event and add attendees Actual Results: no invitation is sent Expected Results: an invitation should be sent for this occurence of the event
Does the issue still exists using Thunderbird 3 Beta 2 or newer with Lightning 1.0pre nightly test builds?
Version: unspecified → Lightning 0.9
The issue seems to be resolved in Thunderbird 3 Beta 2 with the latest Lightning 1.0pre builds. At least, lightning is asking and trying to send the invitation. I can't check whether the email would be correct, because I can't connect to the university smtp from outside the firewall. However, upgrading the university mail installation to Thunderbird 3 is out of my control - Thunderbird 2 will be the standard solution for the next 1-2 years. If it is a lightning related issue, will lightning 1.0 also work with Thunderbird 2?
Lightning 1.0 ist targeted at Thunderbird 3 only due to the use of a newer mozilla platform. You may want to try the inverse edition of lightning which includes some fixes we have incorporated into Lightning 1.0pre, although please note it is not supported by the Mozilla Calendar Team: http://www.scalableogo.org/english/about/overview.html
