After having entered login/pass, I get an error message :
ALERT: The connection was refused when attempting to connect
lc5.law5.hotmail.passport.com

That doesn't sound much like a Mozilla problem. That's a hotmail problem. Also
I can log into hotmail with Linux build 2000-08-14-12. Marking INVALID

redtomato@innocent.com you are getting that error because you haven't
downloaded the psm module that lets you go to https:// sites. the hotmail login
is a https:// site so you must first go to
http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/psm/psm-mozilla/index.html & click
the "Install Netscaep PSM for Linux" button. That should solve the problem with
the error message & you should be able to login in to hotmail successfully.

Verified invalid. Jesse, open a new bug if you would like to change the wording
of "The connection was refused when attempting to connect...".

No, it's not the wording of the error message, because that error message makes
sense when you try to connect to a nonexistant server. The problem is that it
seems like the user is getting the wrong error message. Why would a PSM
problem result in mozilla trying to connect to a nonexistant server?
