1.File->Print
2.
3.

KDE 3.5.9 & cups 1.3.9.
Hi Christian,
does this problem still happen for you in a recent Firefox version, or can this be closed as obsolete nowadays?
If it still happens: Which Firefox version do you use, and which operating system and version?
Summary: Cups instances disappear → Cups instances disappear in Print dialog
Version: unspecified → 3.0 Branch
Just updated to FF 7.0.1 and the problem persists. I use linux x86_64 kernel 2.6.34.
Hardware: x86 → x86_64
Version: 3.0 Branch → 7 Branch

This doesn't seem related to disability access. It's a very old bug. Nevertheless, taking a guess at a better component.

Component: Disability Access → Printing: Setup
Product: Firefox → Core

Firefox uses Gtk's print dialog on Linux, which currently doesn't support CUPS printer instances. There's a bug report for that for Gtk, s. https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/issues/236 . I've submitted patches to implement support about 4 years ago, but it seems that nobody really cares about them...

Severity: normal → S3
