User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.1b4) Gecko/20090423 Firefox/3.5b4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.1b4) Gecko/20090423 Firefox/3.5b4 When I was using Firefox 3.1b3, I was able to click on a tab to 'select' it and then use the keyboard's left/right arrows to quickly scroll through my open tabs. It was a time-saver many times when I wanted to take a fast look each open tab. However, in Firefox 3.5b4, clicking a tab does not select it. Clicking it with the middle mouse button while trying to be careful not to actually close the tab still selects it, but that of course runs the risk of closing the tab. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click active tab Actual Results: Nothing Expected Results: Make tab 'selected'/'highlighted' Middle clicking still selects the tab. I do not know if it applies to the Windows/Linux versions or not.

Reporter, can you please test in Safe Mode http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes and check if an extension is the cause of the mentioned issue.
It wasn't an extension, I have noticed this on all other copies of FF 3.5 on other computers. 3.6 too I think. There was an about:config option I changed to fix the problem to resume the functionality, I don't remember what it was though.
mainy the problem is using Google plus tabs.. opening Google plus tabs may respond very slow and many times it irritates by unexpected crashing..
Reproduced this on Firefox 23 (build ID: 20130808030205).
