I choose to save a bookmark, and your pop-up window gives me "Done". But done what? That's unclear to user. When I check in my list of saved bookmarks, the new bookmark is NEVER there! It's buried somewhere in "recently saved" or some other sub-species.

Simplify, simplify. Safari's way of saving new bookmarks is far superior.

Reproducible: Always
Try looking in Unsorted Bookmarks in the Library (aka organize bookmarks).
When you bookmark a page it is put there, if you click on the star you can change location or other details.
Recent bookmarks is just a shortcut to your 10 most recent bookmarks.
Btw this is not a bug, nor an enhancement request since there's no enhancement suggested, so this is incomplete to me.

Which steps are you using to bookmark the page?
What is "THERE" for you when you say "bookmarks is never there"?
Looks like you are confusing bookmarks with the bookmarks menu.
