While I was trying to save an image on one site, I get presented with a dialog box from Firefox that says this: "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.
Script: chrome://browser/content/tabbrowser.xml"
I am not really sure what website is the "cause" because I later tried to save a logo of Google on its website and got the same dialog box, but continuing attempts to duplicate this problem in this session haven't been successful so far. I've seen this dialog box 2 to 4 times.
Reproducible: Sometimes

Might be an extension (especially given the line), can you try this in safe mode

I will try. But first, I will try doing the same having disabled extensions I installed after I installed this beta version.

with 3.5.3 I get this sort of message (:447 instead of 446) about 1 in 4 times that I start firefox. I have a couple hundred tabs open. if I hit 'stop' it just keeps coming back, if I let it continue firefox runs, but extremely slowly due to a loop eating all the CPU (which could be the cause of the slow script message)
Wow, a couple of hundred open tabs! I thought I was the most insane user of Firefox :)
I don't get this message anymore (maybe because I set it not to be shown again... don't remember), but Firefox becomes too slow when I have lots of open tabs. It always has.

I get this almost every time I try to print or save to PDF. Using 3.5.3 on a brand-new 17" MacBook Pro with 10.6.1. I usually have 3-5 windows open, with 20 tabs open in one window and 3-6 in the others.
THIS IS DRIVING ME OUT OF MY MIND because it completely crashes FF for me. I have to force quit, and when it restarts, it takes forever to reload the pages and kind of get back to semi-normal functionality.
Don't know what happened with 3.5.3 and/or Snow Leopard, but I'm not happy with all the BS crashes and **** performance.

Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.12 or later in safe mode? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

Also, please consider using the most recent Firefox 4 beta build, your bug may be resolved there.
