Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS i86pc; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3) Gecko/20090420 Firefox/3.1b3 Build Identifier: Lightning/1.0pre Shredder/3.0b3pre If you are using Lightning - and you have the Today Pane open, showing tasks, which reading e-mail - then if you mistakenly have a task highlighted, and then press Delete, it quietly deletes the task - and it's not obvious what was just deleted. If you press Ctrl+Z, it undeletes an e-mail not the task. You have to switch to the Tasks view to undelete the task - again not obvious... I would suggest that in the Today Pane you either confirm the deletion, or make undelete work in that view correctly. Is there anyway to force confirmation of the deletion of a task or event without also requiring confirmation of the deletion of e-mails...? I've reproduced this using TB3.0b3pre (2009-04-24) and Lightning 1.0pre. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select a task in the Today Pane 2. Press the Delete Button 3. Try Undo from Edit menu (or simply Ctrl+Z) Actual Results: Instead of undo-ing the deleted task, it undo a deleted e-mail. Expected Results: Should know that it's got the Tasks area focused and undo should undo the deletion of the task. It's very easy to make a mistake and set focus to the Tasks area in the Today Pane, and it silently deletes the task - and as such it's easy to miss the fact that it did this.
