I was wondering if some sort of flag could be added in the address book to fire a warning before sending mail to flagged contacts. For example, you could flag the contact entries for all of the "higher-ups" at a company so that you don't accidentally send an email to your boss instead of a coworker.
I figured just a quick confirmation ("Are you sure you want to send this message to X?") would suffice.
Since GMail now has the 5-second window to "unsend" something, I thought this would be a similar feature that a lot of folks could appreciate. And no, I didn't come up with this based on an embarrassing personal experience. ;)

Reproducible: Always
this might be an interesting extension.
It's a nice idea, but we won't have the time to implement this in the core.
As per comment #1, this should be realized as an extension / addon.

Because of Bug 522873, we can only resolve this as a plain, impolite, and undifferentiated "wontfix".
