When a user goes to the Add-ons panel in Fennec and chooses "Search Catalog", the text box for search says "Search for an add-ons" (see related bug 491597). This text overlaps with the magnifying glass icon in the box. If the user enters any text in the box, this text will also render on top of the magnifying glass as well. 

The text needs to be moved away from the icon. See attached graphic.

Interesting. I don't see this on other platforms, including the mobile platforms.

I don't see this in maemo or winmo, is this fixed?

I dont' see this on OSX or maemo on the following builds:

sorry for bug spam.
Many of the bugs which are marked invalid, I see comments telling it occurred in one version or other. But later it was fixed due to 1) by backingout the patch which made regression or 2) by fixing some other bug.
So if we can identify the bug/patch/reason then we should state that and mark those as FIXED. If not mark as WORKSFORME in that case.
