In the 2000-08-16-05 build on Linux, the Modern skin is not layed out well. The back, forward, reload, and stop buttons in the navigation bar are not centered in their circles. Screenshot attached.

if you remove the tbautostretch="always" code on line 270 in the navigator.xul file, the problem goes away. Ben checked in the code with his 1.225 revision of the navigator.xul file at 00:58 this morning. The bonsai comment says it's needed for the classic skin completion bug. reassigning to ben

This bug is fixed in Linux (Build: 2000-09-05-08-M18). With this build, you would able to see the back, forward, buttons in the navigation bar are centered in their circles.
