User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042316 Firefox/3.0.10 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042316 Firefox/3.0.10 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

I have two ff window running, one is having multiple tabs while the other is a pop-out window from hulu for viewing the video.
Upon crash (crash id was not recorded somehow), the restored session opens up both windows with a 'bonus' of a new tab in the pop-out window. The new tab is the welcome to firefox or something, the same page that welcomes you to firefox (if I'm not mistaken, feel free to verify which new tab contents shown by using the steps below)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open hulu.com and choose any video that you would like to see
2. Pop-out the video to have it open in a separate ff window
3. Crash/ kill firefox (accidentally with crash or intentionally by killing the firefox from task manager)
4. Try to restore the session and make sure the last open tabs and window(ses) opens
Actual Results:
There is a new tab opened in the pop-out window that plays hulu's video.

Expected Results:
The last session should be restored as is, no new tab or new window should present (other than pop up, but I was not running any website with pop-up enabled)

Note:
- I have not disable/ enable any extension yet, but I believe this is a basic behavior that needs some fine tuning
- this bug is not reporting the crash, but more towards having new tab added in the restored session
Dwi, please use the Firefox 3.5 beta 4 build to check if this is still present. I doubt so. I cannot help here because the video content is only streamed to U.S. citizens.

Hi Henrik,

Ok, will do later today.

Anyway, the bug is not about the video not being played, but it is more towards additional tab -somehow- added in the restored session.
You cannot open a tab when the video is not played. That's all what I can see from Europe.
I can't confirm on OSX (using 3.0.10). I saw some strange behavior on one attempt, but not exactly the behavior described above (just some window size strangeness).

I can't confirm on OSX using nightly build Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1b5pre) Gecko/20090505 Shiretoko/3.5b5pre ID:20090505030932 either.

Henrik - I think you should be able to test this with any popup window, not necessarily Hulu, since there's nothing special about Hulu (it just happens to be what was in use here)
WFM too with Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.0.8) Gecko/2009032608 Firefox/3.0.8 ID:2009032608

I've tested on http://www.popuptest.com/popuptest1.html.

Dwi, are you able to reproduce it on this website with a 3.5 build or with 3.0.10 and a fresh profile/safe-mode?
It's been 6 months, reporter hasn't responded, and we can't reproduce, so closing. Dwi, please reopen if you can reproduce.
