Currently there's a mix of "en/" and "En/" used in links. This screws with the browser's history, and probably also with search results. We should pick a case (I suggest lower-case, to be consistent with ISO 639), and enforce it through 301 redirects. That will immediately consolidate the pages for search engines. Over time it will consolidate the links on the wiki as well so that the unread/read distinction becomes meaningful again.
I propose we hold off on this for a bit; the Deki Lyons upgrade we should be installing any time now handles intra-page links much better and will resolve a lot of these issues (it now generates links to just the anchor instead of full URLs for these links). After that, we'll re-evaluate how much we need to do here.

I agree something has to be done, just want to be sure we tackle it the right way once we get a feel for things after the upgrade.

any updates on this?

If this problem is not resolved with the upgrade, or if we should more and more time, I think we should handle this problem with mod_rewrite now.

No longer a problem now that we switched to Kuma.
