In windows Xp and Windows7

When a new e-mail arrives, i get a system icon next to my clock saying i have a new e-mail.

I open the Thunderbird window, select the mail (preview pane = off), the mail is spam, so i delete it without reading. the system icon stays and says i have a new mail, also on the left hand side on my account list, the account also says i have a new mail.

When i click 'get mail' the new message icon disappears.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.new mail arrives (imap)
2.delete e-mail without reading (preview pane = off)

Actual Results:  
system icon (next to the clock) stays, and says that i have a unread e-mail

Expected Results:  
icon should disappear after deleting the e-mail
