I thought we already had a bug for this, because I've seen this with a couple of other locales. I can't find it though. If you set sr as your language, then try to use the interface translator, there are no text fields in the interface translator pop-up. Screencast: <http://ilias.ca/flashback/2009-05-13_1238.swf>

I'm pretty busy right now but I can probably take a look at this next week.

This was left for 1.1, so, can someone take a look at it in near future?

Paul will verify if this still happens since the sr name change to sr-CYRL and sr-LATN.

AFAICT, the page: tiki-edit_languages.php?locale=sr-CYRL&interactive_translation_mode=on (https://support-stage.mozilla.org/tiki-edit_languages.php?locale=sr-CYRL&interactive_translation_mode=on) doesn't list the sr-CYRL or sr-LATN, but that may be because no translation table is yet available for them. I think there's a step required to add that... Chris, Cheng, David... someone that knows more about how to get this happening?

Done! Apparently, the language is not automatically added to the language table. There is an easy workaround. Steps: 1. a) Go to https://support-stage.mozilla.org/tiki-imexport_languages.php b) In the "Import" section, select the language that does not show up at https://support-stage.mozilla.org/tiki-edit_languages.php (but should). c) Browse an empty (text) file on your HDD to upload d) Click "import" 2. Go to https://support-stage.mozilla.org/tiki-edit_languages.php See that the language shows up in the drop down now. Also, the language table is empty so no bad stuff happens :) I have done this for sr-CYRL on stage and it works, check it out at: https://support-stage.mozilla.org/tiki-edit_languages.php I say we do this for further languages that have this problem, since it's not hard. Please verify this works on stage. We can mark this bug fixed when we do the same on production.

I can not confirm first part of Paul`s comment(one telling about how to import language file) `cos only SUMO admins can do that. Anyway, I`ve managed to translate some strings on stage using interactive translator for locale for which Paul already imported language file. So, this worksforme.

Thanks Paul. This looks like it should be part of the process for enabling locales on prod. I've just taken the file at <http://svn.mozilla.org/projects/sumo/trunk/webroot/lang/sr-CYRL/language.php>, an imported it on prod.

Great. If all is good, perhaps you can do the same for sr-LATN, and mark this bug fixed?

Do you want to keep this bug open and make it about not having to import a blank txt file, just to enable it?

Filed 501774 for that. Chris, feel free to close this bug when you've made Milos happy with sr :)
