User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; pl-PL; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042523 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Firefox/3.0.10
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; pl-PL; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042523 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Firefox/3.0.10
I've connected two monitors in multi head mode (virtual screen: 2960x1050, first screen: 1280x800 offset 0x0, second screen: 1680x1050, offset 1280x0). When I'm using Firefox on the second (right) screen and I'm typing URL in address bar, autocomplete hints are shown on the left screen (on the attached screenshot second instance of Firefox is running on the left screen, but it doesn't matter - this bug appears even when left screen is empty).
I've Lenovo 3000 N200 notebook and I've setup multi head using XRandR:
xrandr --output LVDS --mode 1280x800 --output VGA --mode 1680x1050 --right-of LVDS
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable multi head screens
2. Run firefox and place the window on the right screen
3. Type some URL
Actual Results:
Autocomplete tips are shown on the left screen outside Firefox window

could be dupe of bug 482928
can you try current 3.5 nightly?

On 3.5 nightly (but for i686 - system libraries (like lincaberra-gtk-module, libqtqurve etc.) won't load due to architecture type) everything works OK.
But during first run of 3.5 (lauched from primary screen) plugin incompability popup was shown on the secondary one.

For the plugin incompatibility window position, did it open on the same screen as when you open the preference window? You could be seeing bug 410337.
For the former issue, that could also be bug 403706. If that's this bug, the issue should disappear when you restart Firefox (the 3.0 version).
