IME98/IME2000 Reconversion does not work in text area

IME reconversion works fine in Composer with IME reconversion icon.
However, this does not work in text area.
Step of reproduce
1. Go to above URL
2. Ctrl ~ to turn on IME
3. Type Japanese characters in the text area, like "表示" and hit Enter
4. Select the characters you just typed
5. Click on IME reconversion icon in IME toolbar
Several options about the characters to convert should be displayed.
Now, it does not do anything.
Tested 2000-08-17-08 Win32 build with Win98J and Windows 2000J.

All ime related event are send to the desired window through focus.
Reconversion query event is a kind of IME event.

I verified this in 2000-08-30-08 Win32 build with Win98J and Windows 2000J.
